This one day workshop will introduce you to tips and techniques to control the drying time on acrylic paint, with a focus on how to accurately depict painting the light in your images, as well as how to photograph your subjects. Using the required materials with guidance, I will help you to get your paintings to feel and look as though they may have been painted in oil.

"We will specifically work on dealing with the edge of forms in acrylic paint." - Adrian Deckbar
After many years of painting in oils, I developed an allergy to evaporative solvents like turpentine. Trying various methods, I decided to try acrylics again, and found that many things had changed for the better. The introduction of retarder has made an incredible difference, as well as using a specific palette, which both slow the drying time, making it easier to control.
We will specifically work on dealing with edges of forms in acrylic paint.
